Liverpool Vision is the city´s new economic development company with a remit to accelerate the economic recovery and growth of the last decade and build a sustainable economy which can compete more effectively in international markets. Private sector led and with a focus on delivery, it brings together the activities of three companies - Liverpool Vision, Liverpool Land Development Company and Business Liverpool - to integrate economic and physical development with business and enterprise support.
English Partnerships is the national regeneration agency for England, helping the Government support high quality, sustainable growth. It owns the site and is contributing £68m grant funding.
Liverpool City Council will own and manage the Arena and Convention Centre. It is also responsible for the implementation of the European Objective 1 grant, and is contributing £12m grant funding.
The Northwest Regional Development Agency
was established by the Government in 1999 to drive forward the sustainable economic development and regeneration of England's Northwest, and is contributing £15 million grant funding.
European Objective One Programme funds of £50m delivered through Government Office for the North West have played a vital role in supporting the project.
