Bovis Lend Lease - Main Contract

The external cladding and glazing of the Arena and Convention Centre is nearing completion. Inside the building high level duct work and the acoustic wall are also nearing completion, with good progress being made on the revolving 'auditorium drums' which will accommodate the main conferencing facilities. Screening on the concourse and work on the galleria have also commenced. The multi storey car park was opened on schedule in November.

Birse Civils - Infrastructure Contract

The infrastructure contract - including the road and footpath network, services, lighting and landscaping - was completed in October.

Hotel Scheme - McAleer and Rushe

Work is well underway on a 310 bedroom Jurys Inn Hotel and 132 bedroom 'aparthotel' by BDL Staybridge. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2008.

Residential

City Lofts and David McLean have agreed a contract to build 429 apartments in three towers at the south west corner of the site. Construction is scheduled to commence in October.

Artisan Residential

Housing developer Artisan has commenced construction of 96 apartments on the southern and eastern elevations of the multi storey car park. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2008.

Dukes Dock Bridge

Alfred McAlpine has been appointed to construct a new pedestrian bridge across Dukes Dock. Piling is underway. Completion is scheduled for September.
