ACC Liverpool (Bovis Lend Lease)

The Liverpool Echo Arena opened in January, the Galleria and Multi Purpose Hall in February and the BT Convention Centre in April. The Arena and Convention Centre have already hosted a number of high profile events and have taken bookings as far ahead as 2014. Events later this year include the MTV Awards, Elton John and the BBC Sports Personality Awards at the Arena, and the British Council of Shopping Centres Annual Conference,
Waterfront Expo and Port Cities Conference at the Convention Centre.

Infrastructure (Birse Civils)

The road and footpath network, services, lighting and landscaping were completed in October 2006. Subsequent works to re-align services on the riverside road (Kings Parade) were completed in December and soft landscaping adjoining the hotels in April.

Hotel (McAleer & Rushe)

Amend as follows: The 310 bedroom Jurys Inn Hotel opened in April, and adjoining 132 bedroom BDL Staybridge ‘aparthotel´ - the first venture by the US based company in Europe - in June. Both hotels overlook the public piazza.

Car Park Residential (Artisan)

Specialist housing developer Artisan is constructing 96 apartments on the southern and eastern elevations of the multi storey car park. Completion is scheduled for 2009.

Dukes Dock Bridge

The new pedestrian bridge at Dukes Dock opened in September 2007. It provides an important route for pedestrian access to and from Kings, and access for emergency vehicles if required.

Pavilion (Halo Seddon)

The ´Pavilion´ by developer Halo Seddon at the entrance to the piazza opened in June and is home to a new restaurant.
